How to match the saturation is an important part of color processing. For timeliness and packaging products that interfere with other domestic politics, special emphasis is placed on the saturation of color to an excessive extent, so that the color has a strong visual impact, so as to meet the appreciation psychology and pleasure of viewers. In color processing, some pictures can strengthen the color of another part or the main part on the basis of equal compression of various colors or loss of a certain part of colors. Some pictures can keep the saturation of all colors balanced and choose the best treatment according to the original content and the main color. Methods and essentials are as follows:

1 Deep basic colors are enough

1) after the completion of various field color blocks, they will meet the requirements of the rapid growth of the company and the industry, such as red, green, blue and other colors of the letterhead and logo patterns and do not need to be layered deep basic colors. General customers require thick and bright colors for these letterhead and logo graphics. Theoretically, it is to give full play to the extreme effect of the maximum field density of offset printing ink to achieve the maximum saturation. Although 95% of the dots will increase to 100% after printing, this is different from the effect of 100% field printing. 95% of the dots only reach the field density in 95% of the dot area, while the increased 5% area has ink, but the ink density is thin. 95% of the dots will increase to 100% of the ink density, which is not as thick and bright as 100% of the field density

2) the colors of blue sky, ocean, green leaves, lawn and other colors in landscape photography images have formed a fixed concept in people's minds. Therefore, in principle, the color quantity of version C should be deepened on the basis of the required color quantity of the hue, while that of version y for green leaves, lawn and other green, so that the green is saturated and bright. For the basic colors of red, green and blue depth that need to be layered, according to the color deviation and graying characteristics of general offset printing inks, the best saturation configuration is:

Red =m95%+y85%

green =y95%+c85%

Blue =c95%+m80%

3) the point value configuration characteristics of azure sky: first, do not put Y color below 40% of the C color version to make the sky blue more bright; Second, put more than 50% Y color on the c-color version to make the sky blue not red, and make the blue calm and thick. At the same time, because the sky blue ink used now is red, it consciously reduces light red, so that azure has no specific color for the depth of the tooth path in China at present, and the sky is more beautiful

4) the red leaves of Xiangshan in autumn can be treated to be redder than the actual red leaves. The depth basic color y is 100%:m is 95%, and C can not be put away, making the red leaves look particularly gorgeous under the sun, giving people a pleasant sense of transparency

2. The depth basic color maintains the level

1) the point scale value range of the depth basic color is 65% to 90%. Because more than 80% points increase, the level is easy to merge. Therefore, for this area, we need the basic color of the level. We should emphasize the basic properties on the premise of sufficient field density, and maintain the level. We can't emphasize the saturation of field density, resulting in the level merging of the basic color. Treatment Essentials: the depth of the basic color of the required level, with the emphasis on the color quantity of more than 80% of the area, should be appropriately reduced, so that it can be separated from the field color block, so that the printing can not only print the field density, but also maintain its level

2) in color processing, it is difficult to give consideration to both the bright saturation of colors and the light and dark levels in colors. If you want to preserve the light and dark levels in colors, you need to use complementary colors, and if you use complementary colors, the brightness of colors will be reduced and the gray level will be increased. If you want to make the color bright, you should put less complementary colors, so the light and dark levels in the color will be affected. For time sensitive and packaging products, we should emphasize the saturation and bright colors, which will affect the light and dark levels of some colors. In this way, the final printed image has strong color sense and good visual effect. The key lies in mastering a "degree", which is the expression of the operator's aesthetic level and is directly related to the artistic effect of color

3) the layered texture in the depth basic color is mainly represented by the main color version, such as warm tones such as red and orange: it is represented by Y and M color versions; Cool colors such as green and cyan are represented by the c-color version. Therefore, we must emphasize the layered texture of the main color version to realistically show the characteristics of the layered sense of the real object

4) the basic color of the middle note area is sufficient. The range of point scale values in the middle note area is 35% to 65%, which is the main part of most objects and the key area of color processing. To adjust the basic color of this area to the best saturation, the key is to deepen it by about 5% on the basis of the required color amount of this hue. For example, safflower, the M color of bright middle note needs a color amount of 40%, which can be deepened to 45%, making the red more saturated and bright
